Overview
Shanta Securities Limited is one of Bangladesh’s most trusted stock brokerage houses, serving thousands of retail and institutional investors across the Dhaka and Chittagong stock exchanges. Despite their market leadership, investors were served by fragmented tools — separate apps for trading, market data, research, and customer support — creating a disjointed, inefficient experience.
Brain Station 23 (BS23) was engaged to design and deliver Shanta EasyX — Bangladesh’s first all-in-one digital brokerage platform that unifies stock trading, real-time market intelligence, IPO applications, fund management, and customer support under a single mobile interface. Launched in April 2025 on both Android and iOS, EasyX represents a landmark moment in Bangladesh’s capital market digitalisation.
Business Challenges

- Secure Transaction Flows – Implementing BEFTN-compliant fund deposit/withdrawal, DP (depository participant) integration, and SMS-based transaction authentication with financial-grade security.
- Complex Financial Data Visualisation – Rendering historical price charts, dividend history, financial statement breakdowns, and technical indicators — all performant on mid-range Android devices.
- Cross-Platform Consistency – Maintaining identical UX quality across Android and iOS from a single Flutter codebase, with platform-appropriate navigation patterns and system behaviours.
Our Approach
BS23 conducted structured discovery sessions with Shanta Securities’ brokerage operations, research, and customer service teams to map the full investor workflow — from account opening through active trading and post-trade support. We audited the existing EasyTrade app, reviewed competitor platforms across South and Southeast Asia, and identified the moments of friction that caused investors to abandon digital channels.
The resulting design philosophy was ‘everything an investor needs, in one place’ — a platform where a retail investor can check the morning market, read an analyst report, place a trade, apply for an IPO, and raise a support request without leaving the app.

Firebase Notifications & In-App Support
Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers real-time trade confirmations, price alerts, IPO deadlines, and dividend announcements. An integrated customer support module replaces phone-based queries — investors can raise and track service requests from within the app.
