This renowned organization wanted a single LMS platform that would provide learning resources related to sea area casualty rescue management for people. They wanted a customizable certification for both guests, paid and internal users and customizable course formats, feedback button of third-party website for internal users. They also wanted user access restriction functionality according to the type of users.
As a solution, we created an LMS using Moodle that will provide learning resources related to sea area casualty rescue management for people. We developed customizable certification activity for guest and internal users so that both can get certificates after finishing the courses. We also developed HNS and interactive course format which will enhance user experience. We have developed Role and cohort-based course access based on user profile fields so that this LMS can synchronize the users under “auth” and “saml2” cohorts to the respective user roles. For the users course view can be restricted category wise. We have developed and integrated custom authentication method based on auth2 to give seamless access to Moodle from Sjøliv. We have also created a single Sign-On (SSO) integration for internal users using SAML 2.0 so that internal users do not need to use their credentials again.
We built some custom plugins, Custom Authentication mechanism, and custom theme that made our solution more user friendly to the customer as well as the clients. We also migrated the existing data including Users, Courses, and course completion data to provide the users with a seamless experience into the new platform. Currently there are 10,000+ users who have been enrolled in different courses and learning sea area casualty rescue management from our LMS system.
